Relax at The Narrows
Stay close to Turkey Run State Park. Feel miles away.
The Narrows Cabins started as a place we wanted to create, not only for ourselves, but others too — somewhere to slow down, spend time outside, and enjoy the beauty of this little corner of Parke County. After years of remodeling, building, and making countless decisions about every detail, we’re excited to share it with guests who appreciate the same things we do!
Our curated collection of cabins and homes sit right next door to Indiana’s most iconic state park, offering unmatched convenience for hiking, exploring, and immersing yourself in all things nature. Each cabin, big or small, has its own uniqueness. It is quiet and peaceful here. There’s dirt. And bugs too! The echo of the Amish horse and buggies. We hope you feel at home here and leave with full hearts, tired legs, and stories you’ll want to tell.

“Great place, very private residence. Hot tub is great. Nate was very helpful with any questions we had.”
“Perfect cabin for a long weekend with family! Very clean and cozy vibe! Super convenient spot for hopping around the covered bridge festival and a day at turkey run state park.”
“Nothing but fantastic things to say! Spoke with Nate in person and he was very friendly and helpful. Their cabin was immaculate! Beautiful setting, perfectly clean, well set up with all needed amenities for a “cabin in the woods” feel. Access to the river with a quick walk, nearby to Turkey Run, and just overall amazing. Responsive and friendly, just an overall incredible experience. Will be back! Highly recommend 12/10 stars!!”
“10/10 would recommend! This place is beautiful! It was so nice to have somewhere to cook, and do laundry. The beds are comfy, and the place is super clean. Although there are a couple of other cabins near by, its still peaceful to sit by the fire outside while your grilling. Better yet, turkey run is accessible by just walking right down the road and crossing the beautiful bridge. If its just a romantic weekend getaway, or a place to go with the family this space offers everything you'll need!”
“We absolutely loved this amazing home and its location near Turkey Run state park! It was a very cozy, luxurious and romantic experience for just the two of us and we really enjoyed the outside hot tub after our hikes in the park. Spotless and beautifully appointed. Highly recommend.”
“My wife and I had an amazing experience here and will definitely come back”
“Enjoyed the stay at this cabin. It was tight quarters, but we made do for 2 nights. I appreciated the coffee bar! Would not recommend sleeping on the futon if 3 people are trying to book. The queen bed was very comfortable.”
“A great place to stay for some peace and quiet. A wonderful cabin, close to walking trails. I highly recommend.”
“Really beautiful spot. The cabin is cozy and very new.”
“Enjoyed our stay. Place is as advertised. Nate was easy to work with.”
“Very nice, peaceful and quiet. Loved firepit and access to wood. Lovely cabin”
“This place was easy to find and walkable to Turkey Run trails. It was clean and tidy. The price was a little high but we were only in for a day for the trails so just a sleep and go. Nate was responsive and helpful. Lots of privacy.”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay at Narrows Cottage! 😍 The home is beautiful, but what really stood out was how comfortable and welcoming it felt from the minute we walked in. It truly has that “home away from home” feeling. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING. The cottage was incredibly well stocked — pots, pans, utensils, seasonings, ice, coffee makers and so much more. Honestly, there’s too much to even list. We wanted for absolutely nothing outside of the food and personal items we brought with us. We love to cook, and this place was perfect for it. We cooked right there by the river, even did some canning, and had everything we needed to enjoy it without constantly realizing we forgot something. And then there’s the setting. Being right on the river made the entire weekend feel special. Beautiful home, peaceful surroundings, extremely comfortable, and clearly put together by people who genuinely thought about what their guests might need. We had a wonderful weekend”
“The cabin is beautifully updated with special attention to details. They provide everything you could possibly need. The location is very secluded and quiet. Truly a 5 star accommodation.”
“A wonderful, peaceful little retreat. The cabin was perfect for a few day stay and I loved that there was firewood within feet of our cabin. Would love to stay again!”
“Great place, near Turkey run park”
“We had a wonderful stay with our 3 children and friends who brought their 2 children. The space was large and open. The pictures did not do it justice. It was extremely clean! I was hesitant to book a house that was pet friendly considering I have severe allergies to dogs but I did not have any issues at all. Nate was very responsive and brought out a new propane tank within half hr of messaging him. We were a bit disappointed that the hot tub started to smell and required some maintenance and we were unable to enjoy it on our last night but we understand these things happen. The beds were extremely comfortable. Plenty of towels and a full stocked kitchen! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and we would recommend this house to friends and family!!!”
“Perfect weekend place.”
“Very cute cabin. Would stay again but not have anyone sleep on the bottom bunk bed as it was very squeaky and woke me up whenever my daughter moved in her sleep (I’m a very light sleeper though).”
“It’s was great cozy place”
“The Narrows Cabin is exactly as Nate describes it in his listing and it was perfect for what we wanted - near nature but not primitive. Super close to Turkey Run State Park and hiking right out the front door. As far as I can tell there’s no other cabins nearby with the comforts of Nate’s cabins: good hot water, TV, kitchenette, drive up parking right off the main road (if you want secluded private treehouse this is not that). This particular cabin was the perfect size for two people. Appreciated the robust coffee setup with plenty of pods, cups with lids and creamers. I’d stay again.”
“Cabin was compact, but had everything that two people needed for a long weekend. Nicely laid out, comfortable bed, very large shower, great outdoor space. Very quiet at night, enjoyed hearing the owls and the sound of the Amish wagons on the road. We were able to walk to Turkey Run trail #4 in about 5 minutes. It was perfect for our needs. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely book again.”
“Nice cabin for a quiet weekend away to just be in nature”
“The cabin was beautiful and pristinely clean! We enjoyed a long weekend with family exploring Turkey Run which is a short 6-minute drive from the front porch to the park entrance! The property is huge and we enjoyed exploring. They had firewood, games, plenty of fresh linens, the hot tub heated and waiting and a LOADED kitchen with anything you could ever need. Check-in was seamless and we received a door code from Nathan a couple days before our arrival with detailed instructions. The beds were super comfy and linens soft and cozy. Lots of TVs and fast WiFi. Best mix of modern amenities and nature. We had a plumbing issue in 1 of the 3 bathrooms and contacted the maintenance number Nathan had provided and had somebody out the next morning. They kept us updated the whole time and were so helpful. Life/stuff happens and is sometimes unavoidable but how you handle it is everything. 5/5 stars from us, thanks for a memorable weekend with the fam.”
