The Narrows Cabins #2962 - The Nook

We had a great stay and enjoyed hiking at Turkey Run. Place was clean and peaceful.

Nate’s cabin had everything we needed. It was nice to come back to a clean and cool cabin after a long day of hiking and canoeing.

This space was perfect for my husband and I’s weekend getaway. It was peaceful and secluded. It was also very clean and had all the amenities. We would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in this little cabin very much. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was just right. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The outdoor space was very thoughtful with ample seating for guests. And you can't beat the location! The sofa probably would not work well for a third person, but we didn't need it.

Nice place for a short get away in the country. Very close to Turkey Run State Park and the Narrows Covered Bridge is a short distance down the road. The cabin is a duplex but it was relatively quiet. It is also close to the country road luckily there wasn’t much traffic. The other cabins a fair distance apart so we had our privacy. The seating around the fire pit was a plus. I did like the digital entry. No need for a physical key. This made check in very easy. Great idea. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

There is not an oven in the place so bring campfire food. Also, the touchpad to operate the stove got stuck so we couldn't operate the burners. The easy fix was to just unplug it and plug it back in to restart it. Cooking at Nates place is much better than any other meal alternative in the area including the park lodge which at best is a 2 star experience. Other tips are that trail #4 in the park is just a few hundred feet away. So there's no need to pay a park entry fee to get in and hike.

This was our second stay at Narrows, and it was just as great as the first. The cabin was very clean and stocked with all the basics, including a microwave, coffee pot, fridge, stovetop, and even firewood on the property. Nate was a friendly host with excellent communication throughout our stay. The location is fantastic—just a 3–5 minute drive to the Turkey Run State Park entrance and within walking distance of Trails 1, 2, and 4. It’s also only about 15–20 minutes from Rockville, where you’ll find restaurants and a grocery store. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to book our next trip.
